A Few Words About the Psychologist
Kelly Tzanou is a psychologist and counsellor with over a decade of experience in the field of mental health. She holds a degree in Psychology from London Metropolitan University and a Master's degree in child psychology and special educational needs from the University of East London. She is currently completing advanced training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based supportive approach that examines the dynamic interplay between cognition, emotion, and behaviour.
From 2011 to 2014, Kelly practised as a psychologist in Athens and Chalkida, providing comprehensive psychological assessment and evidence-based supportive interventions to a diverse client population, children, adolescents, families, and adults. Her clinical work centred on using structured supportive methods to support clients in managing emotional dysregulation, maladaptive behavioural patterns, and relational difficulties. She also brings several years of experience as a psychological assistant working with children with autism and ADHD.
In 2015 she relocated to Germany, where she has since made meaningful contributions to public- and state-sector mental health initiatives. Since 2017 she has collaborated with the Regional Authority of Upper Bavaria (Bezirk Oberbayern), taking an active role in programmes that promote mental well-being, social inclusion, and educational development. Her professional network includes the Youth Welfare Office (Jugendamt), private Montessori schools, private secondary schools, and intercultural programmes supporting international families through their adaptation and integration.
Beyond psychological counselling, Kelly is distinguished by her commitment to social contribution and community work. She has volunteered with organisations in Greece, including care institutions for vulnerable populations and support centres for youth at risk. This work reflects her core values: empathy, social responsibility, and compassionate care.
Our Method
Our method at Your Therapy Center is grounded in the latest insights from three key fields:
Supporting emotional growth and resilience.
Understanding how the brain shapes behaviour and relationships.
Tailoring strategies to meet your unique needs.
Meaningful counselling begins with a trusting supportive relationship. From our first session, we work to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can express yourself openly and authentically.
Your aspirations and values guide our work. Together, we'll identify what you hope to achieve and create a clear, collaborative path that aligns with your priorities and vision for the future.
No two individuals are the same, and neither are their supportive journeys. I integrate scientifically validated approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Practices, Coaching, and holistic techniques, customised to your specific needs and circumstances. This integrative approach fosters resilience, emotional regulation, and deeper self-awareness.
Life's challenges can feel overwhelming, but they also present opportunities for growth. My goal is to equip you with practical tools, effective strategies, and the confidence to navigate difficulties, build resilience, and embrace a more purposeful and fulfilling life.
